ratiu forum 2

Sofia Platform’s Executive director, Louisa Slavkova, took part in The Teaching of History Workshop on February 21-23 2020.

The workshop was organized by the The Ratiu Forum, a collaboration between LSE IDEAS and the Ratiu Democracy Centre. Among other panellists on the workshop were Prof. Christopher Coker (UK), Prof. Slobodan Markovich (Serbia), Wojciech Przybylski (Poland), Dr. Eric Weaver (Hungary) and Valur Ingimundarson (Iceland). Twenty Romanian history teachers attended the workshop that was moderated by John Lotherington, program consultant at Salzburg Global Seminar. During the workshop, panellists and history teachers from across the country explored various versions of history teaching. The often ignored dark side of Central European countries was also an object of the discussions.
