How to be a journalist during an information war? What does it take to go to a place where there is an on-going military conflict in order to cover the events which take place as a freelance journalist without an influential media to back you up, without sponsors or even life insurance? As it turns out, it does not take a lot. In brief: a camera in hand, a little bit of money and a huge amount of courage and motivation.
We talked about all of the above and much more during the debate “New forms of journalism: working in conflict zones and during an information war” which took place at Sofia University on 23 March 2015.
In the event participated Georgi Kozhuharov, Georgi Totev and Krassimir Yankov. Louisa Slavkova moderated the discussion. The debate was organised by Sofia Platform with the partnership of the Association of European Journalists – Bulgaria and the Department for Political Science at Sofia University.
